How to Add Yandex Mail to Mozilla Thunderbird
Connect your Yandex.Mail account to Thunderbird using IMAP. Remember to enable IMAP in Yandex settings first.

Thunderbird works great with Yandex Mail over IMAP. The only prerequisite is enabling IMAP access in your Yandex account — it's off by default.
Step 1: Enable IMAP in Yandex Mail
- Go to mail.yandex.com and sign in.
- Click the Settings gear → All settings → Email clients.
- Enable the option "From the email client" under IMAP.
- Click Save.
Step 2: Add Yandex Mail in Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird → File → New → Existing Mail Account.
- Enter your name, Yandex email address, and password.
- Click Continue. If auto-configuration succeeds, click Done.
- If not found automatically, click Configure manually and enter the settings below.
