How to Add a Hotmail or Outlook.com Account on Android
Set up your Hotmail, Live, or Outlook.com account on Android using the Outlook app or the built-in Email app.

There are two great ways to use your Hotmail or Outlook.com account on Android: the Microsoft Outlook app (recommended) or the built-in Android Email app.
Method 1: Use the Microsoft Outlook App (Recommended)
- Download Microsoft Outlook from the Google Play Store (it's free).
- Open the app and tap Add Account.
- Enter your Hotmail address and tap Continue.
- Enter your Microsoft password and sign in.
- Complete two-step verification if prompted.
- Your emails, calendar, and contacts will sync automatically.
Method 2: Use Android's Built-In Email App
- Go to Settings → Accounts → Add account → Personal (IMAP).
- Enter your Hotmail address and tap Next.
- If Android can't set it up automatically, enter the settings from the table below.
