How to Add Your Domain / Hosting Email to Apple Mail on Mac
Connect your professional hosting email ([email protected]) to Apple Mail on Mac using IMAP. Includes exact server settings.
You can connect any cPanel or hosting-based email account to Apple Mail using standard IMAP. Here's everything you need to do.
What You'll Need
- Your email address (e.g.
[email protected]) and password - Mail server hostname — usually
mail.yourdomain.com(check your hosting panel)
Add the Account in Apple Mail
- Open Apple Mail → Mail → Add Account → Other Mail Account → Continue.
- Enter your name, hosting email address, and password.
- Click Sign In. Apple Mail will try to detect settings automatically.
- If detection fails, it will ask for server settings. Enter the details from the table below.
- For Account Type, select IMAP.
- Click Sign In again to complete the setup.

Certificate warning? Some shared hosting providers use a certificate for their server hostname rather than your domain. If Apple Mail shows a certificate warning, click Connect Anyway or ask your host for their secure mail server address.
